2010/11

Here we go into the 28th season of The City Gent and already we've had a change of manager as Peter Jackson who was only appointed as permanent Bradford City manager in May 2011 dramatically resigned on August 25th 2011. Four days later, Phil Parkinson (ex boss of Colchester, Hull and Charlton) arrived to take over the managerial hot seat at Valley Parade.

Hopes are now pinned on Parkinson to develop Jackson's squad along with some additions of his own and deliver promotion for City from League Two if not this season, then definitely next. The City Gent whilst being the voice of Bantam Progressivism is hopeful about the team's prospects and as ever the contents of each and every issue will reflect on what is happening both on and off the pitch at Valley Parade.

Issue 176
As you can see from the front cover cartoon, in CG176 we wonder what if the shopping centre in Forster Square had been built, would that help attract the Beckhams to Bradford? Maybe not, but it's fun day dreaming. December was a good month (for a change) for Bradford City and that's reflected in the articles within CG176, which can be yours for a mere £2.75 which includes UK postage.

Issue 175
In CG175 we take the mickey out of the FoBC calendar with some captions of our own! There's articles from Simon Ashberry (Creepy Crawley), a bumper C&C from John Watmough and our very own Grumpy Old Fan makes some excellent points about freedom of speech in the wake of the voluntary closing of the Boy from Brazil web site. Plus many more interesting articles to keep a City Gent reader entertained over Christmas.
